What Size Kids BJJ GI Should I Buy?

Kids Jiu Jitsu Gis are sized according to weight as well as height because BJJ students need the flexibility and comfort of movement during training and competition. What If My Kids Gi Doesn't Fit?

We understand that children are always growing, and different brands offer different sizing and naming conventions, often times making ordering a kids BJJ gi very hard. If you order the wrong size gi for your child and it doesn't fit, there is no need to worry. As long as you can send it back in new condition with the original packaging, we can exchange it for the proper size.

Does The Color of My kids BJJ Gi Matter?

We always recommend checking with your instructor on which colors are appropriate for your specific academy. Most academies are pretty laid back with uniform policies, but others have more traditional policies and will want you to purchase either a white kids BJJ gi or blue kids BJJ gi.

Are All Kids Gis Approved For Competition?

If your child is an active jiu jitsu competitor - or plans on competing at tournaments it's important to make sure you get a competition legal gi. While each organization and tournament will have different rules, as a general rule of thumb white, blue, and black gis are competition legal.

How Do I Wash My Kids Jiu Jitsu Gi?

We recommend that you wash your kids gi on cold using the delicate cycle, and hang dry it out of direct sunlight. Never use bleach or fabric softener. Most quality Kids BJJ Gis have special reinforcement in all the high stress areas, but over time these will wear down with consistent training (especially if they are washed incorrectly).
